Esteemed institutions around the world have wisely recognized that the IT sector holds the future of the 21st Century, as it witnesses the start of a new digital era which promises to take information and technology to new heights. We live in a generation that is constantly in search of new possibilities in technology that can make life easier. In this technology-driven world, India holds a potential unlike any other developing, or even a developed nation in this world. As a representative of a rapidly growing IT services company, I have acquired a fair idea of what exactly India’s IT sector is capable of in years to come.
India has given many amazing technocrats to the world, and there is a reason why we are seeing people of Indian origin running some of the biggest tech companies in the world. This country is a grooming ground of tech-geniuses thanks to our academia and the importance of education in our family values. Heading Aarav Global Products & Services has given me major exposure to the wonderful IT minds in our country that have already entered this field. This sector employees about 5 million people in India, and this number will shoot up sooner than you think.
Parallelly, we must also understand why talented professionals like Satya Nadella and Sunder Pichai tend to move abroad. When computers and internet were first introduced to the world, India’s economic conditions were not strong enough to create and harbour employment opportunities in the IT sector. The lack of foreign investments also made it difficult for worthy IT professionals to thrive in India.
However, now that we are looking at an economic boom, India should certainly be ready to create vast opportunities for IT minds of today so that they are not forced to migrate elsewhere in search of jobs that fit their skills. If we manage to truly harness India’s IT potential, we’ll be well on our way to achieve our economic ambitions!
